Albert Montanes of Spain reached the Nice Open final by beating French wild-card entry Edouard Roger-Vasselin 6-4, 4-6, 6-0 Friday.
Montanes will play for the title Saturday against Pablo Andujar of Spain or Gael Monfils of France.
He had 11 aces and closed the semifinal with a backhand return winner.
The Nice Open is a tuneup for the French Open, which starts Sunday.
